1. Single Youth Achievement Award – Cake Decoration

In this course You will learn how to decorate your own cup cakes; use different tools, equipment and materials. You will engage and apply different social skills e.g. teamwork, communication and research. You will build your own portfolio with evidence of work which will include responding to tasks within the challenge. You will also learn how to start your own cake business plus much more.
This challenge acts as a taster into the Award system. The participant has the opportunity to bank this award towards a full Bronze Achievement Award later. All cost include materials used to achieve projects and build portfolio
Age Group – 14+ but consideration can be given to younger able learners
Duration – 15 hours OVER 5 WEEKS – (3 hours once a week)Cost: £20 per Class

You will learn how to make gift items using different balloon techniques. You will learn how to decorate a venue for any event. You will engage and apply different social skills e.g. teamwork, communication and research. You will build your own portfolio with evidence of work which will include responding to tasks within the challenge. You will also learn how to start your own balloon display business plus much more.

Course ref: YABR001
This will involve challenges discussed by group and guided by the group worker or teacher. This challenge will involve developing cake decorating skills but will incorporate other social skills such as research, teamwork and communication to enhance learning. Participants will also explore business ideas. Literacy and numeracy will also be embedded within the structure to support evidence of work. All participants will be required to build their own portfolio which will be moderated by the Awarding Body. To complete the Bronze Achievement Award participants will be required to undertake four 15-hour challenges supported by the Award Group Worker. All cost include materials used to achieve projects and build portfolio
Age Group – 14+ but consideration can be given to younger able learners
Duration – 60 hours (15 hours per Unit x 4) This course can be completed in two different ways:

3 hours once a week 1 ½ hours once a week
